Writing Better AI Music Prompts

The better your prompt, the better your AI song. Clear and detailed prompts help MusicArt generate more accurate, controlled results.

Include the key elements

Try to include these six parts in every prompt:

  • Genre / Style
  • Instruments
  • Vocals
  • Tempo
  • Mood
  • Production / Mix

Example prompts

Basic:
“Pop song”

Better:
“Upbeat pop song with female vocals and acoustic guitar”

Professional:
“Upbeat indie pop with bright acoustic guitar, warm female vocals, around 120 BPM, cheerful and hopeful mood, clean modern production with a clear vocal on top”

Be specific about genre and style

Avoid only saying “pop,” “rock,” or “electronic.” More specific subgenres guide the AI better.

Useful genre phrases

  • “Cinematic orchestral trailer music”
  • “Melodic techno for late-night club”

Describe instruments clearly

Don’t just list instruments—describe how they sound.

Good instrument phrases

  • “Warm acoustic guitar fingerpicking”
  • “Punchy drums with strong snare and deep kick”

Give clear vocal direction

Describe gender, tone, emotion, and delivery.

Set tempo and mood

You can give an exact BPM or describe the feel.

Mood examples

  • “Nostalgic but hopeful”
